1. Introduction:

   This Ethernet NDIS driver supports Microsoft Windows 98 environment.


2. Contents of the Subdirectory:

      RPCI.SYS        The driver for Windows 98.


3. Installation:

     1) Install your Turbo PCI Ethernet Card on your PC system following
        the procedure described in your installation manual.

     2) Insert the Ethernet Driver Disk.

     3) When the "Add New Hardware Wizard" panel appears, select the
        "Next" button.

     4) When select "Search for the best driver for your device.", click
        "Next" button.

     5) Specify the path where the .INF file for Windows 98 is located 
        (i.e., A:\WIN98 or B:\WIN98), click "Next" button.

     6) When the screen returns to the "Add New Hardware Wizard" panel,
        click the "Next" button.

        The system will copy the necessary files for you.

     7) Before the copy process is finished, the system will ask you to
        provide the media containing the Win 98 drivers. Specify the path
        where the .INF file for Windows 98 is located (i.e., A:\WIN98 or 
        B:\WIN98) in the "Copy files from" field.

     8) Restart Windows 98.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
