1. Description
--------------
CMExtEd is the standard GUI-editor for CMenuExtender. It provides an
interface to edit the items and menus displayed by CMenuExtender.
The interface is pretty straightforward and you will probably learn to
use it faster by just playing around a bit with the program, rather
than to read this.

2. CMExtEd at a glance
----------------------
The editor basically consists of a line of text at the top of the
window, two listboxes and two sets of buttons for the listboxes.
The text at top displays the path of the menu that you are editing.
If it says "/" you are editing the basic contextmenu. If it says
"/My shortcuts/" you are editing the submenu My shortcuts, that appear
under the standard contextmenu. The button on the right of the text
takes you to the "ownermenu", meaning that if you are editing
My shortcuts, it will take you to the "root"-contextmenu (/).
The left listbox shows the submenus in the menu you are currently
editing, and the right listbox shows the items found in the menu.
The button on the lower-left exits the program.

3. Submenus
-----------
The buttons on the right of the left listbox are commands available for
submenus.
"New sub" creates a new submenu under the current menu.
"Delete sub" removes the selected submenu and all its contents.
"Rename" lets you change the name of the selected submenu, preserving
all its contents.
The "Up" and "Down" buttons moves the selected submenu either up or
down.

4. Predefined commands
----------------------
The drop-down-combobox to the right of the right listbox contains
predefined commands that can be added to the current submenu.
See the Readme-file for CMenuExtender for information on what the
commands does.
"Move to named folder" corresponds to [move].
"Copy to named folder" corresponds to [copy].
"Move to browsed folder" corresponds to [movefolder].
"Copy to browsed folder" corresponds to [copyfolder].
"Openfolder as container" lets you select a folder that opens as a non-
 explorerstyle window.
"Explore folder" opens a folder in the Explorer.
"Open file" lets you pick a file to be opened in the program registered
for the filetype. For instance, .doc opens in Word, .mp3 in Winamp...
"Launch program" lets you select a program and add flags and arguments.
You can send either the name or folder of the clicked file.
"Pathinformation" corresponds to [path].
"Propertiesinfo" corresponds to [props].
"Dos here" starts a dosprompt in the folder of the clicked file.
"Webpage" starts a webpage in the default browser.
"E-mail" creates an e-mail in the default mail-program.

5. Custom commands
------------------
If you click "New custom..." you can type in the commandname and
commandline on your own. The commandname can be one of the special
commands. A ¶ is automatically inserted between the commandname and
commandline.

6. Q&A
------
Some questions one might have...
Q: Why isn't there an "Edit" button for existing items?
A: Because it proved to be faster to delete the existing item and re-
place with a new, rather than changing some kind of form with the
   items properties.
Q: Can I add my own 'favourites' to the "Predefined"-combo?
A: No.
Q: Why isn't there a tree-view of the menus with a drag-and-drop-
   interface?
A: Because we suck at programming drag-and-drop, and its only for
wimps anyway. ;) However, all changes can be seen in the context-
   menu instantaneously.
Q: Can I automagically convert my old "Contents" to the new registry-
   format?
A: No.
