Manual Installation

To install the driver manually, follow the step-by-step procedures described on each individual section
for a more clear installation.


Installing the LAN Driver for Win2K

Please follow these instructions to install the LAN driver:

1. From your screen, click on the "My Computer" icon and use your mouse or touchpad right button to select the "Properties" item.
2. Click on the "Hardware" tab from the "System Properties" window.
3. Click on the "Device Manger" and select the "Network Adapter" (denoted by a yellow mark symbol), double click the "Realtek RTL8139(A) PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter".
4. Click the "Update Driver" tab on the "Driver" item and select the "Next".
5. Select the "Search for a suitable driver for amy device (recommended) and click on the "Next" item.  
6. Select the "Specify a location", click on the "Next" item.
7. Select the "Browse" button from the "Include this location in the search" and specify for the 
    designate location of your CD driver.


Installing the LAN Driver for Win98SE/ME

Please follow these instructions to install the LAN driver:

1. From your screen, click on the "My Computer" icon and use your mouse or touchpad right button to
    select the "Properties" item.
2. Click on the "Device Manager" tab from the "System Properties" window.
3. Click on the "PCI Ethernet Controler (for Win98SE) or "Network Adapter" (for WinME) (denoted by
    a yellow mark symbol), select the "Realtek RTL8139(A) PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter" and double click to enter the "Device Manager" window.
4. Click the "Update Driver" tab tab on the "Driver" item and select the "Next".
5. Select the "Specify the location of the driver (Advanced)" item.  Select the "Specify a location".
6. Select the "Browse" button from the "Include this location in the search" and specify for the 
    designate location of your CD driver.


Installing the LAN Driver for WinXP

Please follow these instructions to install the LAN driver:

1. Click on the "Start" icon and select the "Control Panel" item
2. Click on the "Hardware" tab from the "System Properties" window.
3. Click on the "Device Manager" tab from the "Hardware" window.
4. Click on the "Network Adapter" (denoted by a yellow mark symbol), select the "Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC" and double click to enter the window.
5. Double click the "Update Driver" tab and select the "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" item.
6. Select the "Include this location in the search" item.
7. Select the "Browse" button from the "Include this location in the search" and specify for the designate location of your CD driver.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
