Windows NT 3.51 Introduction: ------------- This document describes the procedure to install Windows NT 3.51 driver for the PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet Card. Location of Driver: \WINNT351\AX88190.SYS Installing driver procedure on Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 ----------------------------------------------------- 1. In the Main group of NT, select the "Control Panel" icon. 2. In the Control Panel window, choose the "Network" icon. 3. In the Network Settings dialog box, choose the "Add Adapter" button. The Add Network Adapter dialog box appears. 4. In the list of network cards, select "<other> Requires disk from manufacturer", and then press <Enter> button. 5. Insert the ethernet driver disk in CD-ROM Driver, enter drive and pathname E:\PCMCIA\WINNT351 which is the path where the driver AX88190.SYS and setup file OEMSETUP.INF are located, and then choose the OK button. 6. Select the "PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet Card". 7. Set the IRQ level and I/O Port Address, Available IRQs = 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 12, 15. Available I/Os = 300, 320, 340, 360. 8. NT will then perform the binding process. If any additional network software options were installed, you may be prompted for specific information for these packages. 9. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
