Installing MS Client 3.0 This document contains PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet PC Card installation notes for Microsoft Network Client 3.0 for MS-DOS users. This document contains information on the following topics: 1.0 Overview 2.0 Installation Notes ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.0 Overview ------------ To install the PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet Card driver, Microsoft Network Client 3.0 for MS-DOS users, You must run Socket/Card services device driver and/or Enable program before you invoke any Ethernet driver. For the detailed information on how to insatll PCMCIA driver, please refer to the User's Manual or the "About PCMCIA" section in README file. 2.0 Installation Notes ------------------------- There are two methods to install PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet Card drivers. 2.1 Method 1 -------------- 1. Please Change to the Microsoft Network Client subdirectory, and run SETUP.EXE. (default directory is C:\NET) 2. Respond to the screen prompts, then choose Change Network Configuration and press Enter. 3. Choose Add Adapter and press Enter. 4. Select "Network adapter not shown on list below ...". 5. Insert the driver diskette into the CD-ROM Driver 6. Please specify the location of the OEM driver Ex: E:\PCMCIA\MSCLIENT\ 7. Choose Add Protocol. 8. Simply pressing Enter to accept default values. Follow onscreen instructions to complete the process, then restart your computer. 2.2 Method 2 ------------- 1. Execute SETUP.EXE from Microsoft Network Client for DOS release diskette. 2. Specify the <target path> which Microsoft Network Client for DOS files will been copy. 3. Select "Network adapter not shown on list below ...". 4. Insert the driver diskette into the CD-ROM Driver. 5. Please specify the location of the OEM driver Ex: E:\PCMCIA\MSCLIENT 6. Select "PCMCIA 10/100M Fast Ethernet Card". 7. Select "Change Network Configuration", "Add Protocol" as you want. 8. Follow screen instructions to complete the process. Simply pressing <Enter> for each screen display will select the default options. Press <Enter> until you reach the display prompting you to reboot your system.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
