The Quatech Device Manager for Windows NT setup includes the device drivers
and configuration utility required to setup the following hardware adapters
in WindowsNT 4.0 with at least Service Pack 4.

* All ISA card based RS-232/422/485 Serial COM expansion adapters.
  (DS-100, QS-100D, DS-200/300, etc.)

* All PCI card based RS-232/422/485 Serial COM expansion adapters.
  (DSC-100, QSC-100D, DSC-200/300, etc.)

* All PCMCIA card based RS-232/422/485 Serial COM expansion cards.
  (SSP-100, DSP-100, DSP-200/300, etc.)

* The SPP-100 Enhanced Parallel Interface PC Card

* All USB to Serial RS-232/422/485 expansion boxes.
  (DSU-100, QSU-100, DSU-200/300, etc.)

* All ThinQ ethernet to serial boxes.
  (SSE-100, DSE-100, QSE-100, ESE-100, SSE-200/300)

NOTE: The ThinQ Devices are installed only via the Install Wizard which will 
      launch this install of Device Manager. The ThinQ device can only be 
      removed via the Device Manager.

      The USB Devices require the installation of the Quatech USB Device Support
      drivers in addition to the Quatech Device Manager setup.  The Quatech USB 
      Device Support are available seperately by contacting Quatech sales.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
