  * Supporting OS is listed as follows. Any other OSs, such as Server cannot be supported. 
    - Windows XP Professional
    - Windows XP Home Edition

  Notes

  * You cannot install the driver for Windows XP using the driver installer in 
    \USB_DRV\INSTALL. Please install it manually with accordance to the following
    method for installing driver.

  How to install the driver
================================================================================
  1. Turn on PC.
     Note: End any other applications when installing. Log on to Windows using a user
     name with an administrator authority.
  2. Put the accessory CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.
     Although [SANYO SSP SETUP] is run when the CD-ROM is put in, end the menu 
     programme by clicking [X] button at the upper right of the window.
     Note: The driver for Windows XP is not installed from [Installing Driver].
  3. Connect SSP-PD10/20 to PC with the accessory USB cable.
     [Found New Hardware USB Device] will be appeared in task tray.
  4. [Found New Hardware Wizard] is opened, and then designate the driver in 
     accordance with following steps:
   (1) Check [Install from a list or specific location(Advanced)] and click [Next]
   (2) Check [Search for the best driver in these locations] and [Include this location
       in the search].
   (3) Click [Browse], designate [\USB_DRV\WINXP] of CD-ROM drive, and click [Next].
   (4) [Please wait while the wizard installs the softoware ...] is appeared and 
       [Hardware Installation] dialog will be opened.
       Ignore the messarge [Solid State Player (MUSBP2) has not passed Windows Logo testing to
       verify its compatibility with Windows XP], and simply [Continue Anyway].
       Note: This message is for any driver that does not obtain Windows Logo.  
       You can click [Continue Anyway] and install the driver since we have already confirmed 
       the driver performance.
   (5) Now you see [The wizard has finished installing the software for Solid 
       State Player (MUSBP2)], and then click [Finish].
  5. If [The change of a setup of a system] is appeared and you are required to reboot the PC,
     reboot it.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
