Thanks for trying Mobile Stream USB Modem!

[Trial vs Full version]
The trial version of the USB Modem
 - will expire either after 14 days of use or after 30 successful
   connections, whichever comes first;
 - shows the splash screen on exit;
 - is almost four times bigger than the full version.

[Overview]
Mobile Stream USB Modem allows you to use Treo 600, Treo 650,
Treo 680, Treo 700p, Treo 755p and Centro smartphones as a USB modem
for connecting a desktop or notebook computer to Internet. To surf
the Internet from your PC you will need only a USB cable and a Treo
with GPRS/EDGE service or CDMA 1x/EvDO data plan.

USB Modem Features:

 * Support for Treo 600, Treo 650, Treo 680, Treo 700p, Treo 755p
   and Centro smartphones
 * Support for Windows XP/2000, Windows Vista, Mac OS X and Linux
   operating systems
 * Support for USB and Bluetooth connectivity
 * Support for background mode so it is possible to make outgoing
   voice calls or perform other activity on the Treo without
   disabling the modem mode
 * Small memory footprint (30 KB)

[Documentation]
USB Modem comes with the complete User's Guide in Adobe Portable
Document Format (PDF). Please read it before using USB Modem.

You can download the free Adobe Reader using this URL:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

[Uninstall]
To remove the USB Modem, use the "Delete" menu option of PalmOS
Launcher. For Windows, USB Modem entry should also be removed
in Control Panel -> Phone and Modem Options.

[Fax support]
NOTE: Fax feature is no longer supported officially.

USB Modem has limited support for fax sending/receiving. This feature
heavily depends on your wireless operator and on the used Fax program.
For fax receiving to work on GSM networks an additional phone number
for incoming fax/data calls (vs. usual voice calls) is required.

Fax sending has been tested on the following models:
Treo 650 Unlocked GSM with Windows XP using the FaxMail v9.87.01
Treo 650 Verizon CDMA with Windows XP using the WinFax Pro 10.0

It may work with other models/fax programs too but it is not
guaranteed.

[Legacy dial-up lines]
It is possible to use Treo USB Modem with standard dial-up lines, but
the speed will be very low (9600 bps for GSM networks and 14400 bps
for CDMA networks).

[Notes]
Windows 2000/XP/Vista will always show the speed of the USB Modem
connection via the Treo USB Modem as some fixed value (921 Kbps).
The actual speed is different and depends on the operator and
on other factors.

It is highly recommended to update the Treo 650 firmware to the latest
version if you are going to use USB Modem in the background. Early
versions of firmware are known to have problems with the background
mode.
