These keys are referred to as Easy Access Buttons. The Easy Access Buttons utility provides users the ability to access Compaq sponsored sites. Additionally, this utility gives the user the ability to customize keys to access their own desired sites easily. Easy Access Buttons is to provide several functions for the end-user: - Single keystroke access to the Internet or any application. - Single keystroke to default e-Mail application. - Customizable key schemes. - Create a Shortcut to application and Drag the Application to Button assignment box. - Hide Icon in system tray. - Lock each or all Keys. HOW TO INSTALL Easy Access Button Software from CD ------------------------------------------------------ - Insert CD into CD Drive - Click Start on the system tray - Select Run - Type CD:\Setup HOW TO INSTALL Easy Access Button Software from WEB ------------------------------------------------------ - Goto WEB site and download SoftPAQ for Easy Access Button software. - Execute the SoftPAQ file that was downloaded. HOW TO INSTALL Easy Access Button Software from inf file ------------------------------------------------------ - Unzip the Win2k.zip, Win9x.zip or WinNT.ZIP based on your OS type and run WHQL test. - Go to c:\eab_whql and install the software using add hard drive. NOTE: When prompted where to extract the installation files, select a folder that has no spaces in the folder name. This is currently a limitation of the installation software. - Change to the folder where the extracted files are located and Run Setup.exe. - Follow install instructions of installation software. =============================================================================== Special Notes/Considerations ---------------------------- 1) The setup.exe must be run from a folder which has no spaces embedded in the folder name. ===============================================================================Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
