Packet Driver Introduction: ------------- This document describes the procedure to setup the Packet driver for EP-427 PCMCIA Ethernet Adapter. Location of Driver: \PACKET\EP427.COM ------------------ Sample Configuration Files: --------------------------- AUTOEXEC.BAT EP427 0x62 or EP427 (Since the default software interrupt is 0x62 ) Notes: ------ Load the packet driver using the software interrupt and any optional switches if required. Usage--------> EP427 [options] <software_int_no> Example------> EP427 -i 0x7e Paramenters--> EP427 [-n] [-d] [-w] <int_no> <int_level> <io_addr> -n Netware conversion. Converts 802.3 packets into 8137 packets. -d Delayed initialization. Used for diskless booting. -w Windows hack, absoleted by winpkt. int_no Packet driver software interrupt, default is 0x62. int_level Hardware IRQ number, default is 3. io_addr Hardware I/O port, default is 0x300. NOTE: The int_level number and the io_addr number must be equal to the /irq and /io parameters specified to the card enabler program.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
