                        Release notes for
EP100TX.COM Novell PCI ODI Client driver V2.13
         ----------------------------------------------

New features and modifications:

        - Added Autosense support to the driver.
Enables autosensing of media type when driver is loading (also
called Power-Up Autosense) on all types of cards supported by the
driver, and run-time autosensing of media type on cards which
support Run-time Autosensing and incorporate the DC21140 rev 1.2.

AUTOSENSE is the default driver's operation mode.
The user is also provided with the AUTOSENSE keyword in NET.CFG
this keyword replaces the AUTODETECT kwd provided in earlier versions.

        - Modified the driver's internal buffer allocation scheme from
static to semi-dynamic. The user can control the run-time size
of the driver by changing the number of rx buffers (using the
RX_BUFFERS kwd). Decreasing the number of rx buffers will
decrease the driver's run-time size. NOTE: Decreasing the number
of rx buffers, especially in 100MBps networks, can also decrease
          the driver's performance.

The driver has the following default value of rx buffers:
            16 (or 10 hex) - In 10/100 MBps card (having DC21140 as it's chip)

        - Incorporated Novell's latest MSM and ETHERNET files (version 2.03)
          in the driver.

Bug fix:
        - Fixed a bug in handling a card with multiple chips sharing the same ROM.
Driver will now correcty handle such cards.

Limitations:

The driver is partially tested on Novell's TMS version 2.03.

The following TMS tests were done:
        ------------+------------+--------------
Test Name 10MBps mode 100MBps mode
        ------------+------------+--------------
         IOCTL pass not tested
         Endurnce pass pass

         Exchange pass not tested
        ------------+------------+--------------

The driver was also tested for:
                Interrupt sharing support - pass
                Autosense - pass
Multiple chips sharing the same Rom - pass
                Semi-dynamic buffers allocation - pass
