2.0  INTRODUCTION
-----------------
This diskette contains Video Drivers for onboard S3* ViRGE* 
video solution hardware.

3.0 VIDEO DRIVER INSTALLATION
-----------------------------
1.  Start the Windows* 95 operating system.
2.  Click Start button, and then point to Settings.
3.  Click the Control Panel icon.
4.  Double-click the Display icon.
5.  Click the Setting tab.
6.  Click the Change Display Type button.
7.  Under Adapter Type click Change.
8.  Click the Have Disk.
9.  Enter the path to the Video Drivers diskette and click OK.
10. Select S3 Inc. ViRGE PCI and click OK.
11. When the installation completes, click the Close button.
12. Set the display resolution and color depth using the Desktop 
    Area and Color Palette options, then click the Apply button.
13. Restart your computer.

4.0 LIMITATIONS
---------------
1)  The following resolutions display video noise during AVIs and
    soft MPEG:
     a.  640x480, 24bpp, 60Hz

2)  56Hz refresh rate is not supported at 800x600 resolution.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
