 1.0 Installation Notes For Win XP Users

    1. Start your PC, then insert the D-Link DE-660+ Ethernet PC Card
       into an available PC Card slot in your PC.

    2. After starting Windows XP, the D-Link DE-660+ Ethernet PC Card
       will be detected automatically, then the " Welcome to the 
       Found New Hardware Wizard " window appears.

    3. Click " Install from a list or specific location [Advanced]"
       ,when the wizard ask you " What do you want the wizard to do?"
       Then click the 'Next' button in the Wizard window.
    4. Please choose your search in the wizard,
       Cilck 'include this location in the search:'
       Then specify the location : " A:\WinXP "
       Click 'Next'
    5. The Windows will tell you " Please wait while the wizard installs 
       the software "
       There will appear a "The sofeware you are installing for the hardware
        D-Link DE-660+ Ethernet PC Card 
       has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify this compatibility with
       Windows XP. " window.
       Click ' Continue Anyway '
    6. Then,there will appear a " Completing the Found New Hardware Wizard"
       The wizard has finished installing the software for  
        D-Link DE-660+ Ethernet PC Card .

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
