1. Downloading the MDI Drivers from SCO
=======================================
NOTE: At the time of writing this documentation the MDI driver was
not available at SCO. It should be available from SCO at
their ftp site as a vendor supported driver early 1997 at
ftp://ftp.sco.com/VCD, and as part of the AHS supplement June
1997.
To download the supplement with ftp via World Wide Web:
For AHS, open the URL: ftp://www.sco.com/AHS/5.0/sco
For Release Supplements, open the URL:
ftp://www.sco.com/Supplements
To download the supplement via an anonymous ftp connection:
ftp to ftp.sco.com
Login name: ftp
Password: your email address
AHS Directory: AHS/5.0/sco
Release Supplement Directory: Supplements
NOTE: The wu-ftp software used on ftp.sco.com requires that two
kinds of DNS resource records for your site have been
propagated to SCO's nameserver: a Name-to-address mapping and
a PTR Address-to-name mapping.
The lack of a propagated PTR record for your site is the most
common cause of problems with anonymous ftp to ftp.sco.com.
PTR records are also known as "pointer" records or "reverse"
records. Please contact your Internet provider for more
information.
