 1. Overview of adapter and driver installation
 ==============================================

 Details on adapter installation and the HPEISET utility are
 contained in the printed manual and on the HP Support Disk in
 the \TECHNOTE\INSTALL.TXT file.

 Briefly, the steps for installation are:
    1. Installing the adapter in the computer
    2.  Connecting the network cable
    3. Running HPEISET to configure and verify the adapter
    4. Running SETUP to help locate the correct software installation
        instructions
    5. Installing the software for your operating system

 In many cases, the networking vendor's installation utility can
 retrieve the driver directly from the support disk.

 Use the synopsis below to help locate the directory that contains the
 driver needed for the networking software that is or will be loaded on
 the computer. In the same directory, a README.TXT or *.TXT file
 details the steps to install and configure the adapter driver.
