2.0 Release Notes
**********************************************************************

---------------------
 Product Version 1.0
---------------------
     (1) Supports all 2D and 3D (OpenGL*) operations.
     (2) The PV1.0 drivers do not function in a multiprocessor
environment. This includes a system with two or more processors or a
uniprocessor system that runs with a multiprocessor, NT 4.0 kernel.
Intel plans on fixing this issue in a future driver release.

---------------------
 Product Version 1.5
---------------------
     (1) Same as PV1.0 with additional bug fixes (including
multiprocessor issue #2 above.)

---------------------
 Product Version 2.0
---------------------

(1) Same as PV1.5 with additional bug fixes.
(2) TV-Out support has been added.
(3) VFW-Video capture & TV tuner support added w/ Indeo* 4.4 codec.
(4) TV-Out anomalies-
    a. Using keyboard to set TV-Out position (in properties sheet)may
cause keyboard lockout when maximum/minimum position is reached
requiring reboot.
    b. Left half of screen may momentarily flash black during a mode
change.
    c. With TV-Out enabled and the desktop set at 800x600 resolution,
the entire desktop will not fit in the monitor screen. The left and
right sides are cut off.
    d. Enabling and disabling TV-Out quickly many times can sometimes
cause system to lock up. Re-boot is required.
    e. Monitor screen may blank out or screen corruption may be
visible if running DOS (not Windows or DDraw) games that use ModeX.
    f. When booting up your system for the first time, an occasional
split screen (two images) may appear on the TV screen. If this occurs,
the system will need to be reset. The anomaly occurs more often in PAL
mode. This anomaly has been seen when using the Intel740(tm) drivers
(all versions) in combination with the Rockwell* BT868/869, Revision
"C" TV-Out Encoder Component. The above anomaly has not been seen when
using the Rockwell* BT868/869, Revision "D or E" components in
combination with the Intel740(tm) drivers.
    g. In an NT MP (multi-processor) environment, Windows* NT 4.0
service pack 4 is required to use TV-Out.

(6) Video anomalies- you may see some of the following when using
video:
    a. 1600x1200 resolution is not supported for Video for Windows.
    b. In icon size video format, a dark band at the video window
bottom may be seen in PAL mode.
    c. In vidcap application, changing from preview mode in icon video
format to overlay mode in full video format may cause a band to scroll
screen.
    d. Capturing an .avi file without selecting the Indeo 4.4 codec
from the compression menu will result in low visual quality.
    e. When video window is shown in a smaller window, the video may
be zoomed in on.
    f. In an NT MP (multi-processor) environment, Windows* NT 4.0
service pack 4 is required to use video.
    g. There is a conflict between the Adobe* Premiere video capture
application and the PV2.0 Intel740(tm) drivers. For proper operation
of this application, load Adobe Premiere after loading the Intel740
PV2.0 drivers.
(7) TV tuner support with Hauppauge TV tuner has been added.

---------------------
 Product Version 3.0W
---------------------
(1) Same as 2.0 except with item (3) VFW-video capture features have been removed.
(2) Drivers are now upgradeable to Windows* NT 5.0.
(3) Intel tested for PC98 WHQL compliance.
(4) A Digital Signature Feature has been added to the gfxw.inf file to satisfy
    Microsoft* WHQL Certification requirements.

**Important: The Digital Signature feature within the gfxw.inf file has been
commented out. For WHQL Submission those commented lines must be
uncommented to reflect the respective IHV's information.

Please refer to the PC98 WHQL Test Procedures for additional information.
