Copy the files from the archive to a blank floppy.

DESCRIPTION

This fourth beta adds positive changes to the APM features. Also adds more
stability for different systems.

DRIVER INSTALLATION
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

New LAN installation.
---------------------

1.  You must already have the WIN95 card services running.
    (See the WIN95 installation guide for further help on this step.)
	
2.  Insert your LiveWire LAN card into a slot.

3.  If you already have the beta 3 or earlier driver installed skip to step 8.

4.  The screen will tell new hardware has been detected. It will then give
    options for installing software.

5.  Choose the "Have Disk" button.

6.  Insert the floppy with the drivers and hit enter, then choose the New Media
    LiveWire and hit enter.

7.  Following the screens for installing the rest of the WIN95 network software.

    Skip to step 14.

Update driver installation.
---------------------------

8.  Go to the device manager menu.

9.  Double click "Network Adapters"

10. Highlight "New Media LiveWire"

11. Click the "Remove" button.

12. This will remove all network software associated with this driver. You
    must reboot before you continue.

13. Once system has been reset go back to step 1 for a "New LAN installation".

14. You should now be up on Beta 3 of the LiveWire software.

Advanced Power Management (APM)

If you wish to change the APM settings do as follows:

1. Start the Control Panel.

2. Double click Network, double click New Media LiveWire.

3. Click the Advanced tab, this will show the APM settings and allow you
   to change them.

This driver set is Beta.  Technical support has not been trained on this
driver set, so do not ask them as they will be unable to answer your

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
