Date: 06-06-97 SMC PCI Ethernet Drivers Ver 1.07 For Mac System 7 -------------------------------------------------- This Installation program SMCInstallScript should be run (double-click) to install the following drivers on your system: 1. SMC EtherPower (8432) 2. SMC EtherPower2 (8434) 3. SMC EtherPower 10/100 (9332) 4. SMC EtherPower 10/100 (9332 BDT) 5. SMC EtherPower 10/100 (9334 BDT) 6. SMC EtherPower 10/100 (9332 BVT) 7. SMC EtherPower 10/100 (9332 QSI) The drivers are present in the file "SMCDrivers 1.07" on the same diskette. Note: The Volume Label of your diskette should be 'SMC Drivers' for the installation program to work !! And ensure that the Installer program is also present on your diskette !! The Auto Detection Code has been added, thus both 10 Mbs and 100 Mbs lines can be used without any change to the driver. Note: make sure you reboot the system whenever you change the line speed since the driver cannot dynamically detect change in the line speed. Infact PowerOff the system before you change the line speed. NOTE: o These drivers will work ONLY with Ver 1.0.5b4 (or higher) of the Open Transport Runtime Library. This software can be installed from the "GM DDK Quick CD Power Macintosh with PCI" CD. Use the "Installer" program residing in the ":Nitro/TNT/Catalyst GM: Open Transport:Open Transport Installer:" directory. o The Second Channel on the Dual Port Cards (8434 & 9334) will work only with Open Transport Ver 1.1.1. This port was unusable with all the previous versions of Open Transport.Download Driver Pack
