Insert the Driver Disk into the PC's floppy drive. 2. Start the Windows for Workgroup 3.11. 3. Double click the "Network" icon in the Program Manager Window. 4. Double click the "Network Setup" icon in the Network Window. 5. Click the "Network" button in the "Network Setup" dialog box. 6. Select the "Install Microsoft Windows Network" item and click "OK" button in the "Networks" dialog box. 7. When the "Network Setup" dialog box appears, select "Drivers..." button. 8. Select "Add Adapters..." from the "Network Drivers" dialog box. 9. Select "Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter". 10. When the "Install Driver" window appears, type "X:\NDIS2\DOS" and press <Enter>. Notice: X: means the Floppy drive or CD-ROM drive, such as: A:, or E: etc. 11. Press <Enter> to select "SMC EZ Card 10/100 (SMC1255FTX-SC)". 12. Click "Close" in the "Network Drivers" dialog box. 13. Click "OK" in the "Network Setup" dialog box. 14. Configure all kinds of name (User, Workgourp, Computer) in the "Microsoft Windows Network Name" dialog box, then click "OK" button. 15. Follow the rest screen instructions to complete the installation. 16. Restart the computer. (B) Changing the Media Type in Windows for WorkGroup 3.11 ================================================================ 1. Start the Windows for Workgroup 3.11. 2. Double click the "Network" icon in the Program Manager Window. 3. Double click the "Network Setup" icon in the Network Window. 4. Click the "Drivers..." button in the "Network Setup" dialog box. 5. Highlight "SMC EZ Card 10/100 (SMC1255FTX-SC) [NDIS2]", click "Setup" button. 6. Highlight "Media Type" field, choose desired setting and click "Set" button to confirm. 7. Click "Ok" button to close "Setup" dialog box. 8. Click "Close" button in "Network Drivers" dialog box. 9. Click "Ok" buton in "Network Setup" dialog box. 10. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
