This document contains three sections:

A) Supported part numbers
B) The upgrade procedure

Section A: Supported part numbers
=========================================================================
This firmware supports products with the following part numbers:

752.8607


The part number is printed on the label on the bottom of the unit. If your products part number is not listed above do NOT use this firmware. To download the correct firmware check the support section of our website making sure to select the correct part number.

Section B: Upgrade Procedure
=========================================================================

1.  Turn on the Barricade and plug it into your network adapter using port 1.

2.  Connect to the Web user interface by typing the Barricade's IP Address (ex: 192.168.2.1) in your browser. You will then be prompted to enter your password (default: smcadmin) to logon to the Barricade.

3.  Click on the "Advanced Settings" menu option, then click on "Maintenance" and then "Firmware Upgrade". The "Firmware Upgrade" screen will appear.

4.  Click the "Browse" button and point it to the location of the firmware file. 

5.  Next click the "Begin Upgrade" button and follow the prompts. You will see the message "Processing, please wait" and a percentage bar count up to 100%. When the upgrade is complete the Barricade will reboot.

6.  Your Barricade has now been successfully upgraded.  

Note: It is recommended that once you upgrade your router with this f/w you reset the unit to factory defaults.

- Fixed "Wireless/802.1X: The secret Key only accept 23 characters, 
        it should accept 64 characters length. (WiFi WPA2 Spec.)".
- Fixed MTU bug "MTU:If the LAN client is sending data (in my case pings) with the DF (Don’t   fragment) bit set with size from MTU value-27 to 1472, the DUT requests are timing out.
- Fixed bug "LAN setting/DHCP server ID:If the text contain " , the characters after " will disappear."

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
