This document contains three sections:

A) Supported part numbers
B) The upgrade procedure

Section A: Supported part numbers
=========================================================================
This firmware supports products with the following part numbers:

751.8101
751.8102
752.8664


The part number is printed on the label on the bottom of the unit. If your products part number is not listed above do NOT use this firmware. To download the correct firmware check the support section of our website making sure to select the correct part number.

Section B: Upgrade Procedure
=========================================================================

1.  Turn on the Wireless Ethernet Bridge and plug it into your network adapter using the Ethernet port.

2.  Connect to the Web user interface by typing the Wireless Ethernet Bridge's IP Address (ex: 192.168.2.25)in your browser, then click the login button (if you have not already set a password - otherwise enter in the correct password)

3.  Click on the "Advanced" link, then click on "Maintance" and then "Firmware Upgrade" option. The "Firmware Upgrade" screen will appear.

4.  Click the "Browse" button and point it to the location of the firmware file. 

5.  Next click the "Apply" button and follow the prompts. You will notice the lights on the Barricade will react in a certain sequence.  Wait patiently while the SMCWEBT-G reboots itself.

6.  Your SMCWEBT-G has now been successfully upgraded. 

Note: It is recommended that once you upgrade your router with this f/w you reset the unit to factory defaults.

V1.09.2:  
- Remove Enable/Disable selection in security->802.1X page to let user use easily.
- Add “WPA-TKIP only” in SetupWizard step 3.
- Add 802.1X in SetupWizard step 3.

V1.09.1:  
- Support 802.1X security function in AP mode.
- Fix MAC filter function issue.
- Add one item “WPA-TKIP only” to meet customer’s requirement for using wrong PDA/Smart Phone driver in client side to connect.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
