                   RelayFax BrookTrout Installer README file
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are 2 different driver architectures available for BrookTrout boards.
Newer boards should support the plug and play (version 5.0) drivers. Since
the two architectures share common registry keys and files, it is important
to only install the correct drivers. If the wrong drivers are installed, they
must be uninstalled and the system rebooted before attempting to install
the other drivers.

Instructions for plug and play (version 5.0) driver installation:

1. Launch the boston.msi installer and follow the instructions.

2. Install the Brooktrout boards using the hardware wizard.
The RelayFax\Brooktrout\Winpnp directory contains the .inf file.

3. Run the BrookTrout configuration utility.

4. Copy the btcall.cfg, bt_cparm.cfg, and callctrl.cfg files from the config
subdirectory of the BrookTrout drivers (usually c:\Brooktrout\Boston\config)
   to the RelayFax\App directory.

5. Make sure the BrookTrout service is running and restart RelayFax.

6. Use the Manual Add dialog to add the Brooktrout channels.
