Compaq Controller Installation Overview (Revised 3/5/98)
Copyright 1998 Compaq Computer Corp. All rights reserved.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The drivers supplied on these diskettes support the following
Compaq controllers:
- Netelligent 10 T PCI UTP
- Netelligent 10T/2 PCI UTP/Coax
- Netelligent 10/100 TX PCI UTP
- Netelligent Dual 10/100 TX PCI UTP
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Release Notes
- If you are installing one of these controllers on a Compaq server
in an NT or NetWare server environment, you can take advantage
of the Advanced Network Fault Detection and Correction feature.
Implementation instructions for Windows NT and NetWare Server
are located in A:\NDISx\NETFLX3.HL_ and A:\NWSERVER\NWSERVER.TXT.
- Whenever you have different versions of the drivers and
support modules such as product diskettes, SmartStart CD-
ROMs, and Compaq's BBS and FTP sites, always install those
with the most recent date. Even if you have an earlier
driver that loads and binds correctly with the controller,
be sure to install the updated driver supplied.
- NetWare Server users: You may find it easier to copy the new
drivers to the server from a connected workstation before
downing the server, particularly if you are upgrading the
only network controller in your server.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
