*       iREZ Kritter USB DRIVER INSTALLATION GUIDE                 *

1. Introduction:
   Kritter USB is a Windows Plug and Play product. The driver can be
   easily installed through plug and play procedure. This section 
   consists of two parts: 
   A. First-time Installation: for first-time installing a Kritter USB 
      Camera on your system.
   B. Updating Driver: If a previous version of the driver is installed 
      on your system, please follow this part of instructions below.



   The driver configuration is defined in the the pcam2.inf file. 

 A. First-time Installation:
   1. Plug in your PC camera. 
   2. Windows system shows "New Hardware Found".
   3. Follow the Windows instructions to setup the driver. When asked
      the new driver location, choose "browse"
      and select "KritterUSB" subdirectory on the iREZ CD.
   4. The Windows system will use pcam2.inf to setup the new driver.
   5. Copy the "Amcap" icon from the CD and past it onto your computer 
      wallpaper screen. 
   6. Copy the "iVisit" icon from the CD and past it onto your computer 
      wallpaper screen. 
  

 B. Updating Driver:
   1. Make sure your PC camera is plugged in.
   2. Click Start Menu -> Settings -> Control Panel, choose "System".
   3. Choose Device Manager -> Imaging Device -> Kritter USB.
   4. Choose Driver label, then click "Update Driver" button.
   5. Follow the Windows instructions to setup the driver. When asked 
      the new driver location, choose "Browse" and select "driver" 
      subdirectory where new Kritter USB drivers are located,
      (the CD drive for example).       
   6. The Windows system will use pcam2.inf to setup the new driver.
   7. Copy to "Amcap" icon from the CD and past it onto your computer 
      wallpaper screen. 

   
4. Minimum PC System Requirements:
   1. Kritter USB PC camera;
   2. AMD K6 CPU or Intel Pentium 200MHz or above CPU;
   3. USB Port;
   4. Windows98 Operating System;

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
