CATNICPS.TXT Driver File Contents (2450V440.exe)

This file gives examples to set up PermaNet Server of ATI's AT-2700/
AT-2450 with NetWare 4.11 or NetWare 5.00 Server. Make sure the driver
ATNICP.LAN is copied onto the NetWare system (SYS:SYSTEM) directory.
The user can copy the following section to the AUTOEXEC.NCF of NetWare
system, and customize them for your server's parameters. Or copy the
follow section to make a *.NCF file, and at AUTOEXEC.BAT set
a command to run the *.NCF file.

Also, a user can copy the following sections twice to set up 2 PermaNet pairs.
The order in which the boards are loaded is important. The primary
adapter should be loaded first before the secondary adapters are loaded.

Netware's Install (Netware 4.11) or Nwconfig (Netware 5.0) utilities can
install the PermaNet feature using the Atnicp.ldi file and enabling the
PermaNet feature during driver installation. The primary and secondary
slots are required at time of installation.

 EXAMPLE:

 LOAD atnicp PCI SLOT=1 Secondary=2 FRAME=Ethernet_802.2 NAME=atnicp_82
 LOAD atnicp PCI SLOT=1 Secondary=2 FRAME=Ethernet_802.3 NAME=atnicp_83
 LOAD atnicp PCI SLOT=1 Secondary=2 FRAME=Ethernet_II NAME=atnicp_II
 LOAD atnicp PCI SLOT=1 Secondary=2 FRAME=Ethernet_SNAP NAME=atnicp_SP

; Bind IPX to Primary Adapters
 BIND IPX atnicp_82 net=11
 BIND IPX atnicp_83 net=12
 BIND IPX atnicp_II net=13
 BIND IPX atnicp_SP net=14

 parameter: SECONDARY

   type: numeric, custom, optional

value: This parameter is used only when the adapter is loaded in
PeraNet mode, otherwise it is ignored.

Desc: This is used to determine the slot number for the secondary
backup adapter for the PermaNet feature. If this parameter is
present, the driver is enabled with PermaNet feature..
