<<Warning>> Firmware upgrade failure may permanently damage the unit and causing it not to
function. If the issues in the release note do not address the problem you are experiencing,
please do not upgrade the firmware.
Never upgrade the firmware using a Wireless Computer.
The upgrade procedure may require resetting the Router to factory default state (all current
settings will be replaced by the default settings), when necessary, please record the unit's 
current settings before performing the firmware upgrade.
Please do not load the previously saved Router "configuration file" to the new firmware.

<<Upgrade Procedures>>

1. Save the downloaded firmware file on a network PC that can access the TW100-S41WA's (Router) configuration page.
Close all running programs on this PC, disconnect all other PCs from the Router, and power off the DSL/Cable Modem.

2. Unzip the file Firmware TW100-SW1CA_v1_00B12.zip, extract the files to the computer's hard
drive and write down the path to the files (i.e. C:\TW100-S41WA). 

3. From the computer, open Web Browser (i.e. Internet Explorer) and go to the Router's configuration page (default
address is http://192.168.0.1). Enter the user name and password to login the configuration page
(default user name "admin" and no password) and click "Advance Setup" at the "Login" Window.

4. Click on "System" on the left, look for "Status" and check the "Firmware version".

5. From the System page, click on "Firmware Upgrade" click on "Browse" locate and select 
the firmware file “TW100-SW1CA_v1_00B12.bin" (file path from Step 2 above), click on "Open" click on "Apply" and then 
click on "Ok".

6. You should see a progress bar on the screen.

<<Warning! DO NOT interrupt the upgrade. DO NOT operate the browser. DO NOT disconnect the network cable.
DO NOT power off the Router.>>

7. After the upgrade progress reaches 100%, check the Router front panel LED lights and make sure "Power" is solid green 
and one of the LAN's "Link/Act" is solid green and blinks once in a while. Click "Ok" on the screen.


<<Performing Factory Reset>>

9. To perform the "Factory Reset", with the Router's power ON, locate the "Reset" button on the rear of the Router,
use a small pin to press and hold the reset button (front panel "Status" light turns solid red), wait for 10 seconds
("Status" light blinks), and then release the "Reset" button.

10. Wait for 10 more seconds and you should see the front panel's "Power" and one of the LAN's "Link/Act" light up.
<<Note: After the reset, if the "power" and "status" LED flash alternately, please power off the Router,
wait 10 seconds and then power on the Router.>>

11. From the web browser, go to http://192.168.0.1, click on "Advanced Setup", click on "System" click on "Status" on the left,
and if the firmware Version is v1_00B12, the upgrade is successful.

12. Power on the DSL/Cable Modem, wait for the Modem's LED lights are on steadily, use a network cable to connect
the DSL Modem's LAN (Ethernet) port to the Router's WAN port, wait for the Router's WAN LED to light up, use the PC to
go to the Router's "Login Page", click on the "Quick Setup" to reconfigure the Router.

13. Reconnect all other computers to the Router.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
