INTRODUCTION
------------
Welcome to the 82559ER Fast Ethernet PCI Controller Configuration
and Drivers Sample CD. This CD is intended to place specially selected
tools for the 82559ER component at your fingertips.
The 82559ER Ethernet Controller consists of a 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX
Media Access Controller (MAC) and an IEEE 802.3 Physical Layer (PHY)
device integrated onto a single chip. The 32-bit PCI device is
offered in a space-saving thin BGA package measuring 15mm x 15mm.
Intel optimized the 82559ER device for embedded applications. It is
based on the industry standard 82559 Fast Ethernet PCI Controller, a
third generation LAN component. When you design with the 82559ER
Ethernet Controller you can be confident that you selected the most
dependable product available.
