                  Windows 95/98 Driver for Zoltrix Modem
                  -----------------------------------

This README.TXT file contain the latest information about the Windows
95 driver for Zoltrix Modem.

This Ver 2.210 does not support SVD, but does support Caller-ID, V.80, AT&V1.
Use the Ver 2.100G for SVD support.

A. Driver content

B. Windows 95/98 Modem Driver Installation Instructions

If you have Internet access, you can obtain more detailed instructions
and latest driver at the following address:

Quick Instructions-

1.  Double click on "Modems" in the Control Panel
2.  Click on the "ADD" button
3.  Click on the box located next to "Don't detect my modem, I will select
    it from a list"
4.  Click on the "Next" button
5.  Click on the "Have Disk" button
6.  Insert the diskette containing the driver into Drive A:
7.  Click on the "OK" button
8.  Highlight the correct model by clicking on it
9.  Click on the "Next" button
10. Highlight the correct port that you modem is set to.
11. Click on the "Next" button
12. The Wave device for Voice modems should now be detected. 
    Select the driver from the driver diskette if prompted. 
13. You will be instructed that the modem has been setup successfully.
14. Click on the "Finish" button
15. Click on the "Close" button

C. V.90 Update for K56Flex modems only

If your ISP has not upgraded to V.90 you should not update the modems FLASH ROM to 
the new V.90 code. You should still run this program to update your modem to the latest 
K56Flex version that has the ability to recognize if your ISP has upgraded to 
V.90 automatically.

To upgrade the modem, run the V90.EXE program found on this driver disk and follow the directions.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
