AWCN.SYS - NDIS3 driver for ISA & PCMCIA - Win 95 & Win NT AWCN655.INF - Install file for ISA Win 95 AWCN690.INF - Install file for PCMCIA Win 95 OEMSETUP.INF - Install file for ISA & PCMCIA Win NT. VERSION.EXE - Program to display version of NDIS3 driver. WIN95ISA.TXT - WIN95 ISA installation instructions. WIN95PC.TXT - WIN95 PCMCIA installation instructions. In order to load this driver you must remove all other versions of Aironet drivers that have been previously loaded. During the install procedure do not use any of the references to any existing Aironet files that may be located on the machine. Always refer to the new driver disk. Click on yes 6. Click on OK 7. Go to DOS and erase the driver and install file. 8. Click on restart To Add the new driver: 1. Click on control panel 2. Click on network 3. Click on the add adapter button 4. Select OTHER (DO NOT use an existing ARLAN driver from menu) 5. Click on continue 6. Put driver disk in 'A' drive, path to a:\ndis3 7. Click on OK 8. Select Arlan ISA from the list 9. Click on OK 10. Set config values for IRQ and memory to match the DIP switches on ISA board 11. Set Radio Parameters SID Channel (1-5) Datarate (1-4) TMA Mode (On for use with Access Points, Off for Peer-to-Peer) 12. Click on OK 13. Click on OK 14. When Prompted, enter IP/Sub-net /etc. info 15. Remove Disk and Restart machine To Reconfigure values after the driver has been installed: 1. Click on control panel 2. Click on network 3. Select the Arlan ISA LAN adapter card 4. Click on the configure button 5. Click on the Ignore button at the prompt for No Disk in drive NOTE: SID and TMA values DO NOT reflect what was actually in unit 6. Change all parameters to desired values NOTE: Be certain ALL parameters shown have the proper values. When the driver reloads, all shown values will take effect. 7. Click on OK 8. Click on OK 9. Click on restart machine KNOWN PROBLEMS !!! 1: Failure to wakeup wireless LAN card after resume. The driver fails to wake up the wireless LAN card after a laptop has been in sleep mode with TMA set to POWER SAVINGS mode. If TMA is set to ON, the radio continues to communicate with the access point during sleep mode unless PCMCIA power is lost due to the sleep settings. 2: NETBIOS problems. Several problems have been reported with NETBIOS when running peer-to-peer with or without an access point. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
