Upgrade From Win 3.1 to Win 95
==============================
If you have previously installed Audio Telephony Software in Win 3.1
environment and now decided to upgrade your Win 3.1 to Win 95 via Win 95
Upgrade Kit, you must perform a de-installation of the Audio Telephony
drivers (in Win 3.1 environment). The de-installation can be done with
the Audio Setup application found in the Audio Telephony Utilities Program
Group.
Manual Updates
==============
Updating of Windows 3.1x environments under Appendix A (Pg. A-1) in the
User's Manual is no longer neccessary. The CONFIG.EXE utility is now able
to update the COM PORT setting changes to Windows 3.1x's SYSTEM.INI file
automatically.
Installing under Windows 95
===========================
When installing the Audio Telephony software under Windows 95, please
ensure that you are running the installation Software from the diskettes
itself and do not run it from the hard drive.
The default factory setting of the modem port on the Telephony Board is
at Com Port 3 (3E8) and is using Interrupt 11. If these settings conflict
with your existing configurations in the system, please configure the
Modem Port to a conflict free setting using the Configuration Utility
(CONFIG.EXE) which can be located under the \UTILITY sub-directory of the
default installed \AT3260 directory.
Note : Changing of the board's configuration settings have to be carried
out under MS-DOS mode. Utility will not function under Windows 95
and Windows 3.1's DOS box.
You need to register this new Com Port setting to Windows 95 system
by simply double click on the <Add New Hardware> applet in the Control
Panel menu. Next, click at the <Next> button and Win95 will prompt "Do
you want Windows 95 to search for your new hardware..". Select "Yes"
and proceed the searching by clicking the <Next> button again. Upon
completion, Windows 95 will prompt you to restart system to take effect
of the new Com Port setting.
Installing under Windows 3.1x
=============================
Though the default modem port was set at Com 3 and Interrupt 11, but it
can be re-configured during the installation process.
However, If these settings conflict with your existing configurations
in the system, re-configure the modem port to a conflict free setting
using the Configuration Utility (CONFIG.EXE) and SYSTEM.INI file
(under \WINDOWS directory) will be modified accordingly for the new
setting to take effect under Windows 3.1x:
