                  WheelMouse DOS INSTALLATION
*****************************************************************************

----- DOS INSTALLATION -----

1) Windows 95/98 INSTALLATION will install WheelMouse DOS Driver
   automatically.
2) If you have not Windows 95/98, please follow under steps:
Step 1:Insert the backup copy of your WheelMouse software diskette to
          floppy drive A:.
Step 2:Under the C:\ prompt type:
          C:\>A: <Enter>
          A:\>instdos c:\gmouse <Enter> (for Windows 95/98)
Step 3:Type C:\gmouse\gmouse <Enter> to load WheelMouse dos driver.

----- NOTES -----

* The Install program takes into consideration other mouse drivers that
may have already been configured for DOS or Windows. In updating the
system files, it tries to identify and "REM out" those drivers that it
recognizes to prevent conflicts with WheelMouse drivers. The drivers found
in AUTOEXEC.BAT are modified with "REM (by-Mouse-Install)". This
allows the WheelMouse Uninstaller to recognize which statements need to
be un-REM'd. Please do not edit the "REM (by-Mouse-Install)" text or
the Uninstall feature may not work properly.

* As of this release, most of the common mouse drivers from Microsoft,
Logitech, Genius, etc., are REM'd out by the Installation program.
However, it is likely that nnet driver names in the future may escape
detection and thus will still be present. WheelMouse should still take
precedence since if the Installer doesn't recognize a driver it will add
the WheelMouse driver to the top of AUTOEXEC.BAT (the first DOS mouse
driver listed in AUTOEXEC.BAT gets control).
