------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Adding the audio ADI1888 driver to an existing Windows ME installation ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Follow the instructions in this section to install the ADI1888 Codec driver on a system already running Windows ME. 1. Click Windows [Start]. 2. Click [Settings] -> [Control Panel]. 3. Double Click [System]. 4. Click [Hardware] tab. 5. Click [Device Manager]. 6. Right Click [PCI Multimedia Audio Device] under [Other Devices], then click [Properties]. 7. Click [Driver] tab. 8. Click [Update Driver]. 9. Choose [Specific the location of the driver]. 10. Click [Next]. 11. Choose [Specify a location]. 12. Click [Browse] to specify the file path where the driver is, e.g. "X:\Drivers\Audio\AD1888\SMAXWDM\SE"( X is the drive you put the support CD). 13. Click [Next]. 14. Click [Finish].Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
