Driver Installation Procedures Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003 After Operating System Installation NOTE: For a first-time driver installation, the plug-and-play (PNP) Found New Hardware wizard is displayed by the Device Manager. Click Cancel. To install the driver after installing the operating system: 1. Extract the contents of aac4.2.0.7344.zip to a local directory or floppy drive. 2. Open Device Manager, SCSI Controllers 3. Right click on the Adaptec 2610SA Controller and select properties 4. Select the driver tab, and click on the Driver Update button 5. Check the floppy option, then click on the OK button 6. Proceed with the installation wizard, followed by rebooting the system During Operating System Installation To install the driver during the operating system installation: 1. Follow the operating system instructions to start the Microsoft® Windows® 2000 and Windows Server 2003 installation. 2. When prompted, press the F6 key. IMPORTANT: If the F6 key is not pressed during the brief interval when the prompt is displayed, the installation must be restarted. A blue screen is displayed with the following message: S=Specify Additional Device ENTER=Continue F3=Exit 3. Press the S key. If a menu is displayed, use the arrow keys to scroll to Other and press the Enter key. 4. When prompted to insert the manufacturer-supplied diskette, insert the Windows 2000 or Window Server 2003 driver diskette and press the Enter key. NOTE: To create a driver diskette Extract the contents of aac4.2.0.7344.zip to a floppy drive. 5. Select the "Adaptec SATA Controller" and press the Enter key. The screen for specifying additional drivers is displayed again. If you do not have any additional drivers to install, press the Enter key. 6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. IMPORTANT: Do not remove the diskette from the drive until instructed to do so. 7. Reboot the server. NOTE: The following steps install the Event Notification driver. 8. Extract the "Setup.exe" file from evtdaemon8.00.06.zip to a local directory. 9. From the local directory run Setup.exe and follow the on screen prompts. 10. Reboot the system after the installation completes.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
