1.   UPDATING THE DRIVER (ALL MICROSOFT® WINDOWS® USERS)
     ---------------------------------------------------

     To install this driver update:

     1)  Disconnect your WebCam 3/WebCam Plus from the PC.

     2)  Double-click the downloaded "CtDrvStp.exe" file. Follow
         the onscreen instructions to uninstall the existing
         driver.

     3)  Reconnect Video Blaster WebCam 3/WebCam Plus to your PC. 
         Windows will automatically detect your camera and install
         the updated driver.

         NOTE: The "Digital Signature Not Found" dialog box may
         appear in Windows 2000. Click the "YES" button to continue
         with the installation.

2.   KNOWN ISSUE
     -----------

     When your camera's drivers are installed, you will be prompted
     to select a preferred Light Frequency. If you select 50 Hz,
     you may experience flickering or see dark bands in the Video
     view when using WebCam Control.

     To resolve this, do the following:

     1) Click the "Source" icon. The "Source Properties"
        dialog box appears.
     2) Click the "Camera Control" tab.
     3) Click the "Cancel Flicker" option.
     4) Click the "OK" button.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
