Installation von VTPlus für WinTV 32 Bit Version 2.6x

Bevor VTPlus 32 installiert werden kann, muß die WinTV-Karte betriebsbereit und
die WinTV32 Software installiert sein.

Alternativ können Sie auch einen Treiber auswählen, damit VTPlus mit der 16 Bit
Version der WinTV Software zusammenarbeitet, falls diese auf Ihrem Computer
installiert sein sollte. Die folgende Beschreibung brauchen Sie dann nicht zu lesen.  

Außerdem erfordert VTPlus, daß eine Channel Suite mit dem Namen "VTPlus" mit dem
Channel Suite Manager von WinTV32 eingerichtet wird. Weitere Informationen zu diesem
Thema werden beim Start von VTPlus sowie innerhalb des Dialogs zum Senderwechsel
angezeigt.

VTPlus 32 setzt voraus, daß Ihr Computer für Software Teletext geeignet ist, sowie
die dazu nötigen Treiber bereits installiert sind. 

Die WinTV Karte und die darauf eingestellten Fernsehsender sind Resourcen,
die nur bedingt von mehreren Programmen gleichzeitig benutzt werden können. 
VTPlus ist per Voreinstellung für die optimale Zusammenarbeit mit anderen
Programmen, z. B. der WinTV32 Software eingestellt:
VTPlus initialisiert die WinTV Karte beim Start so, daß auch andere Programme
sie parallel benutzen können. Dies hat zur Folge, daß beim Senderwechsel nur 
Tunerkanäle umgeschaltet werden können, die Umschaltung zu anderen "Input Sources",
wie Composite oder SVideo und zurück zum Tuner ist nicht möglich.
Um dieses Verhalten zu ändern legen Sie bitte in der Datei vtplus32.ini im
Windows-Verzeichnis folgenden Eintrag an:

[hcwcmx]
Exclusive=1

Dies gibt VTPlus die volle Kontrolle über die WinTV Karte. Somit wird auch die
Umschaltung zu anderen "Input Sources", wie Composite oder SVideo und zurück
zum Tuner möglich. Eine andere Software kann aber nicht mehr parallel zu VTPlus
die WinTV Karte verwenden, wenn sie nach VTPlus gestartet wird. Falls aber bereits
eine andere Software die WinTV Karte verwendet, startet VTPlus normal ohne die 
volle Kontrolle über die WinTV Karte zu übernehmen.

Installation of VTPlus for WinTV 32 Bit Version 2.6x

Before VTPlus can be installed, your WinTV card must be ready-to-run and the
WinTV32 software must be installed. 

You also can select a driver, that enables VTPlus to run together with the 16 bit
version of the WinTV software, if it is installed on your computer. You should
not read the following description then.

Further VTPlus requires a channel suite named "VTPlus" being set up with the
Channel Suite Manager of WinTV32. More information about this will be displayed
at the start of VTPlus or with the dialogue for switching channels.  

VTPlus 32 assumes that your Computer is suitable for Software Teletext and the 
necessary drivers therefor are already installed. 

The WinTV card and the channels set up on it are resources that can only partially
be shared among different programs at the same time. VTPlus is set up by default to
work together with other programs like the WinTV32 software:
VTPlus will initialise the WinTV card at the start in a mode, that allows also other
programs to use it at the same time. In that mode only tuner channels can be
switched, however. VTPlus will not be able to switch to other Input Sources like
Composite or SVideo and back to the Tuner.  
To change this behaviour please add the following entry to the file vtplus32.ini
in the Windows directory:

Exclusive=1

This gives VTPlus full control over the WinTV card. So it becomes possible also to
switch to other Input Sources like Composite or SVideo and back to the Tuner. But 
another software cannot use the WinTV card at the same time with VTPlus then, if it
is started after VTPlus. If another software using the WinTV card is already running,
VTPlus will start as usual without gaining full control over the WintV card.
