Installing D-Link DE-220 Family Ethernet Adapter
For NetWare DOS ODI Driver Users

This document contains DE-220 Family Ethernet Adapter installation notes,
which is not included in the DE-220 Family Ethernet Adapter USER'S GUIDE
or onscreen instructions, for Netware DOS ODI driver users.

1.0 Overview
--------------
The ODI driver program allows you to run multiple protocol
stacks and install DE-220 Family Ethernet Adapter in a workstation.
This ODI driver supports the Port, Node Address, Protocol and
Frame options for creating your own NET.CFG file.
For more information on these keywords, please refer to Novell's
"NetWare ODI shell for DOS - NET.CFG options".
Please also refer to the README.TXT file on the DE-220 Family
Ethernet Adapter installation diskette.
The NOVELL installation diskettes or CD ROM are necessary for
the DE-220 Family Ethernet Adapter installation.
2.0 DE-220 Family Ethernet Adapter Installation Notes
2.1 Method 1
1. Run INSTALL.BAT, after insert the Novell installation CD ROM.
For example:
D:\>install
2. Click "Client Installation" in "Select the type of
installation desired window".
3. Click "NetWare DOS/Windows Client (VLM)" in "Select Client To
Be Installed" window.
4. Specify your target directory, installation default path is
C:\NWCLIENT. (suggestion: DO NOT CHANGE THIS DIRECTORY)
5. Allow system to modified your AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS.
6. Specify YES to install support for MS Windows, if you accept.
7. Move the highlight bar to Select the driver for your network
board and press <Enter>.
8. Please insert the DE-220 Family Ethernet Adapter released
diskette into floppy disk and go to bottom.
9. Select "OTHER DRIVERS" under Network Board.
10. Specify the full path of ODI for DOS driver, A:\<PATH>.
Example: A:\NETWARE\CLIENT\ODI.DOS
11. Select "D-Link DE-220 Family" for Ethernet Adapter.
12. Specify "Base I/O Port", "Hardware Interrupt", and "Media
Frame Type(s)", then press "F10" to save/continue.
13. Move to "Highlight here and press <Enter> to install".
14. Press <Enter> after you configure correctly, then installation
will copy necessary files to your hard disk.
15. Restart your system and connect to NetWare server.
2.2 Method 2
1. Assuming that you have installed NetWare Client for DOS
system, do the following:
2. Copy <PATH>\DE22X.COM file from released diskette into the
Netware client directory containing LSL.COM, IPXODI.COM,
NETx.COM or VLM.EXE, VLM files.
Ex. c:\>copy a:\netware\client\odi.dos\de22x.com c:\nwclient
3. A typical Client for DOS startup batch file includes:

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
