This card has been pre-configured to the following settings:

  Mode:              I/O (NE2000 Compatible)
  IRQ:               3
  Base I/O Address:  300
  Link Integrity:    Enabled
  Fast Read:         Disabled
  BootProm:          None

  If you wish to change any of the above settings, please refer
  to the UTP16C 16-Bit NIC Installation and User's Guide.

Installation of UTP16C Drivers for use in I/O Mode
**************************************************

ODI Work Stations
-----------------
  Edit NET.CFG to reflect the settings of the UTP16C.
  Load LSL.COM (Provided with NetWare)
  Load UTP16C.COM
  Load IPXODI.COM (Provided with Netware)
  Load NETX.COM (Provided with Netware)

ODI Servers
------------
  For NetWare 3.X, at the server prompt (:) type

      LOAD <path>UTP16C.LAN

  For NetWare 4.X, at the server prompt (:) type

      LOAD <path>UTP16.LAN

  Select the IRQ and the I/O Base Address for which the UTP16C NIC is
  configured.

  If the server displays the error message

  "Primary Interrupt Controller Detected a Lost Interrupt"

  then do the following:

        - Down the server and go to DOS
        - Run the configuration software AUTONIC
        - Select Display/Change Adapter Configuration
        - Select the I/O Port address of the UTP16C NIC
        - Select Advanced Configuration Options
        - Select IO16 Generated After Command Strobe
        - Exit AUTONIC and restart installation

NDIS 2.01 Drivers
-----------------
  After the UTP16C.DOS or UTP16C.OS2 drivers are installed as per the
  procedure described in the User's Manual, edit the PROTOCOL.INI file to
  make sure that the parameters INTERRUPT and IOBASE reflect the settings
  of the UTB16B NIC. For example:

    INTERRUPT = 3
    IOBASE = 0x300

NDIS 3.0 Driver
---------------
  Install the driver using the Network icon of the Control Panel. When
  prompted for the adapter configuration, make sure that the parameters
  for IRQ Level and I/O Port Address reflect the settings of the adapter.

Packet Driver
-------------
  To load the packet driver it is only necessary to run the file

    UTP16C.EXE

  The default software interrupt is set to 0x60. To set this software
  interrupt to another value type:

     UTP16C -i 0x??

  where ?? is the software interrupt number in hex.

Installation of UTP16C Drivers for use in Shared Memory Mode:
*************************************************************

ODI Workstations
----------------
  Edit NET.CFG to reflect the settings of the UTP16C.
  Load LSL.COM    (Provided with NetWare)
  Load UTP16C.COM
  Load IPXODI.COM (Provided with NetWare)
  Load NETX.COM   (Provided with NetWare)

  If a memory management utility is used, it will have to be configured
  to exclude the range of the shared memory, which is 16 Kbytes (400H).
  For example, if EMM386.EXE is used, and the shared memory range is
  set to start at D000, then the following line in CONFIG.SYS is necessary:

  DEVICE=<path>EMM386.EXE x=D000-D400

ODI Servers
-----------
  For NetWare 3.X, at the server prompt (:) type

      LOAD <path>UTP16C.LAN ADAPTER ACCESS=RAM

  For NetWare 4.X, at the server prompt (:) type

      LOAD <path>UTP16.LAN ADAPTER ACCESS=RAM

  Select the IRQ, the I/O Base Address, and the Shared Memory Address
  for which the UTP16C NIC is configured.

NDIS 2.01 Drivers
-----------------
  After the UTP16C.DOS or UTP16C.OS2 drivers are installed by the
  procedure described in the User's Manual, edit the PROTOCOL.INI file
  to include the following lines with the appropriate settings:

  INTERRUPT = 3
  RAMADDRESS = 0xD000
  IOBASE = 0x300

Packet Driver
-------------
  To load the packet driver it is only necessary to run the file

    UTP16C.EXE

  The default software interrupt is set to 0x60. To set this software
  interrupt to another value type:

    UTP16C -i 0x??

  where ?? is the software interrupt number in hex.
