VGA & Sound Driver Installation 

Under Microsoft Windows NT:

For Video:
1. In "My Computer", choose "Control Panel", then "Display".

2. In Display, choose "Settings", then OK.  Then, select "Display 	Type".

3. Choose "Change", then "Have Disk", select BROWSE.

4. Select the version that you installed for Windows NT, then choose "gx".  Then, OK.

5. Restart your computer.

For Audio:
1. In "My Computer", choose "Control Panel", then "Multimedia".

2. Select "Devices", then choose "ADD".

3. Select "Creative Labs Sound Blaster 1x, Pro, 16", then OK.

4. You will see a "Sound Blaster Base I/O Address" table.  Choose 220 for I/O Address, then select "Continue". Then, OK.

5. You will see a "Sound Blaster 16 Configuration" table, select Interrupt: 5, DMA Channel: 1, DMA Channel (16 bit): 5, MPU401: 	330.  Then, OK.

6. Restart your computer.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
