Ownership of Software You own, if any, only the magnetic media on which the Software has been delivered. It is an express condition of this Agreement that the title and ownership of the Software shall be retained by its owners. Copying The Software and its documentation are the subject of Copyright. You may not make any copies nor cause others to make copies of the Software except such copies as are necessary for licensed use and one copy for operational security. Any such copies are subject to the conditions of this Agreement. You may not modify, adapt, merge, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or create derivative works based on the whole or any part of the Software or its associated documentation. You may be held legally responsible for any copyright infringement, unauthorized transfer, reproduction or use of the Software or its documentation. Limitation of Warranty The media, if any, not the Software contained therein, is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase. Defective media will be replaced when it is returned to your supplier, postage prepaid, along with a copy of the purchase receipt. In this case, please confirm it in English. * During loading with TWAIN scanner driver, when the scan is performed on one or more ranges (Multiple crop areas sets), if it is canceled, the following operation might not be performed correctly. In that case, close the driver once, then restart it. (eg:MS Office 2000) * The preview screen image infrequently might be distorted. Although it does not affect the scanning, we recommend that you not use preview in that case. * In the WIA driver, the feeder scan from "Automatic Document Feeder" might not run normally. In that case, please scan from "Reflective". * The WIA function is disabled by default on Windows Server2003. When you use the WIA scanner driver, please perform the following operations andenable the setting. 1. [Start] - [Control Panel] - [Administrative Tools] - Open [Services] 2. Open Properties of "Windows Image Acquisition (WIA)" . 3. Set [Startup type] to "Automatic" and click the [Apply] button 4. Click the [Start] button * With TWAIN driver, when scanning two or more pages in ADF, depending on application, it may be unable to scan correctly. * During loading with TWAIN scanner driver, when the scan is performed on Multiple crop areas sets, scanning operation might not be performed correctly at some applications. In that case, set the one crop area set, then restart it. (eg:MS Office 2000) * There is a case where a dialog, an error message, etc. of a driver are displayed behind application, and it becomes impossible to operate it. In such a case, let the driver's UI choice by using "taskbar". Or let it display in the front using the Key "Alt+TAB" or "Alt+ESC". Please let it display and operate it. * When scanning, [Cancel] button on the dialog sometimes does not work. In this case, press the [Cancel] button a few times, and then you can abort the scanning. * When the driver dialog is displayed, press [Exit] button and close the driver, before closing the application. * When scanning on Microsoft Office2000, "Custom Insert" button should be selected. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
