readme.txt Driver File Contents (mustek1200cppaul.zip)

Hi all I finally got a driver for the 1200cp working its a file called "me 7l.exe" and it's partner "me 7l.w02"

if you uninstall all previous drivers and remove files from "twain_32" folder then ( I went through the registry as well deleting all reference to "A4 Scanner" well most of them, this probably isn't nessesary if you got a clean uninstall "Yea right") then execute "me 7l.exe" after this the imaging programes should be able to find the scanner .... ok only problem is now it will scan only half a page ........ ok no problem, so now open the file "Mtwm.ini" with notepad it will be in c:\windows\twain_32\a4cis600\
find the line

Y_OptiMaxRes=600

and change it to

Y_OptiMaxRes=1200

and save the file

then open the file "spis6e10.ini" located in the same place and replace ALL its contents with the script below

[EXTERN_SETTING]
EXTERN_SETTING=1
B600MOTOR=0

[101]
Factor=5200
StepsToStartPosition=212
BackTrackSteps=100
BackTrackSkipLine=20
DELAY_NOP=0
CCDCIS=1900
CISTHRESHOLD=50
Dummy_Pixel=85

and save the file, I have included the two corrected ini files with the driver in a zip file mustek1200cppaul.zip I will try to upload it

ok now my one works under xp pro anyhow. though xp won't admit it

this does not include support for "Watch.exe"
so you have to aquire images through your image viewer
I haven't tested "Watch" but i think it wouldn't be to hard to configure it the file "mtwm.ini" appears to support it
also if you want to start the scanner programe by itself just make a shortcut to "UI.EXE" in the same folder And if you want the cover sensor to work just click the "UI.EXE" shortcut whilst lifting the lid. ;)

good luck
