Requirements ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ A PCI compatible computer FTP's PC-TCP Network Operating System A PCI Family Series Adapter A knowledge of basic DOS commands and editing text files Minimum Skill Level ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ A knowledge of basic DOS commands A knowledge of editing text files A knowledge of DOS basic file structure (CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT) A knowledge of the network driver configuration being used Please see Support Options if you are not comfortable with this skill level Compatibility List ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Any PCI Family Ethernet Adapter For a Motherboard compatibility list please consult your local Branch Office Getting Started ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Two methods can be used: METHOD 1: ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ If the TEPCI.SYS program is used, the following statement must be included in your CONFIG.SYS file: DEVICE = TEPCI.SYS [/option] <packet_int_no> <packet_int_no> is the software interrupt vector number used by the packet driver program. This can be from 96 to 128. /d Delay Initial - The driver program will not initialize the network interface card until the packet driver program is accessed by its upper layer program. /w The /w parameter is used only in the Windows environment. See \PKTDRV\README.TXT for additional parameters METHOD 2: ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ If the TEPCI.COM program is used, follow these steps: Execute TEPCI.COM by typing: >TEPCI [/option] <packet_int_no> <packet_int_no> is the software interrupt vector number used by the packet driver program. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
