Initial Release for the NetComm Roadster V.92 USB drivers for Macintosh's with USB ports Running Sytem 8.5 or later. 


Installation:
1.  Install the Modem Drivers and User Guide by double click on the AM5055 Installer program. After the files have been copied to your computer it will be restarted.  

2. After your computer has restarted connect the modem to one of the main USB ports (not a Keyboard USB port). See your Macintosh documentation for more details.  

3. Configure your Macintosh to use the Roadster V.92 USB:
From Control Panel - Modem select "Connect via: NetComm USB Modem" and "NetComm Roadster V.92 USB" as the Modem type.



Appendix A:-  Installation details.
The "NetComm Roadster V.92 USB" file is placed in the "System Folder - Extensions - Modem Scripts" folder.

The "USBSerialConverter_04036001" file is placed in the "System Folder - Extensions" folder.

The "SerialShimLib" file is placed in the "System Folder - Extensions" folder if it doesn't already exist.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
