If you have trouble communicating with your scanner using ScanWizard 2.20, 
2.30 or 2.31 in OmniPage Professional version 7.0, use this patch file
to fix the problem.  The symptoms are, your computer will crash with an 
error when you launch OmniPage Professional.

Caere Corporation has provided this patch file in order to fix this problem
and you can easily install it on your computer.

To install the patch file, copy it to \Windows\Caere32 subdirectory
overwriting the previous copy in that directory.  For example, if your
Windows 95 is installed in the C:\Windows directory, you would type the
following:

Copy     Scmgrtw.exe    C:\Windows\Caere32		<Enter>

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
