The following document provides details of QLogic's PCI Fibre Channel StorMiniport driver 
changes between version 9.1.2.15 and 9.1.2.16.

II.  Enhancements

9.1.2.16 QL - 03/16/06
    *   RISC code 4.00.18 (24xx)
    *   Set additional FW option bit 10 for 23xx Adapter so that FW waits for the task management command 
        e.g. Reset Lun to complete. (stormini only)
    *   Adhere to Subsystem Id doc: v2.2f
        Added support for the following devices:
            PCI\VEN_1077&DEV_6312&SUBSYS_01191077 - wx64
            PCI\VEN_1077&DEV_6312&SUBSYS_011C1077 - wx64

    *   Close OPT226506: Hba does not relogin to target after target sends LOGO to Hba
    *   Close Er44735: The link status behave differently between QLE-2460 and QLA2342
    *   Close Er45228: Incorrect HwVersion string is reported by QLogic IHV HBA_GetAdapterAttributes call
    *   Close Er45230: Event Id 11 entries logged by ql2300 at offset x10 and offset x34 do not match 
        the Error Codes published on the web
    *   Close Er45232: Use memory map mechanism in the driver

    *   Embed 24XX FW in the driver
    *   Close ER43175: New driver could not detect any device to install as BOOT from SAN on 
        one specific setup.  Investigation showed that driver detects the target device successfully but 
        failed the logins because the target had previously been logged in through by the HBA firmware.  
        Driver is changed to handle this particular case correctly.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
