ZOLTRIX Windows 95 MODEM DRIVER NOTES ADVANTAGES OF ZOLTRIX DRIVER COMPARED TO THE WINDOWS STANDARD MODEM DRIVER All Rockwell based Zoltrix modem's should operate using the Standard Modem driver except the 33,600bps modem. The main advantage to using the ZOLTRIX driver is that you will be able to control the modem using the Win95 "Advanced Connection Settings" screen to control the following: a. Error Correction (On/Off) b. Data Compression (On/Off) c. Require Error Correction for Connect (On/Off) d. Use Flow Control (On/Off) e. Select hardware (RTS/CTS) or software (Xon/Xoff) flow control f. Select Standard Modulation or Bell Note: Bell is used by many older 300 & 1200bps modems. g. Have the modem disconnect the call if the modem is idle for a user specified time period If you new your modems AT command set, you could INITialize the modem properly to enable or disable all the above features by adding the INITialization string in the "Extra Settings" field on the "Advanced Connection Settings" screen. But clicking on a box on the "Advanced Connection Settings" screen is much easier.Download Driver Pack
