What's in the distribution?

This distribution contains the 3Dfx OpenGl drivers for Voodoo 
Graphics Based 3D accelerators, Voodoo Rush based 3D accelerators and
Voodoo 2 Based 3D accelerators.

NOTE:  End-users are recommended to use drivers provided by their
board manufacturer to ensure that they can obtain full support.

Installation 
======================================================================

Requirements
------------

- Windows 95 (Supported by Voodoo Graphics, Voodoo Rush and 
  Voodoo2 drivers)
- Windows NT 4.0 (Supported by Voodoo Graphics and Voodoo 2 drivers)
- Glide Drivers, version 2.43 or greater
- PC with a Pentium or Pentium Pro Processor and a free PCI slot
- The Adobe Acrobat Reader, available for free from 
  http://www.adobe.com

Installation
------------

1) Run the self-extracting Runtime Drivers OpenGL.exe file.
2) Follow the on-screen prompts.
3) Read the adobe acrobat file relnotes.pdf for detailed instructions.

Notes
-----

Library version information can be determined by clicking on the 
explorer icon for the DLL file with the right mouse button and 
then selecting "Properties" from the pop-up menu.

This is a beta development library, not a production driver.  It does 
not install any new DLLs or system components and it cannot be 
installed through the "Install New Hardware" Wizard or the 
Windows Control Panel. Please see the release notes for more details.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
