        This installation assumes that the PCMCIA drivers are working properly.
        Please consult INST_DOS.TXT for help with PCMCIA Drivers.
        Getting Started will describe the installation for Win/TCP Pathway.

 Requirements
 ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
        A PCMCIA compatible Laptop
        A PCMCIA chipset that is PCIC compatible (Intel, Cirrus, Vadem, and
         VLSI) or Databook compatible.
        WIN/TCP PathWay Access 2.x or higher
        A ENW-3500-2T
        A knowledge of basic DOS commands and editing text files

 Minimum Skill Level
 ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
        A knowledge of basic DOS commands
        A knowledge of editing text files
        A knowledge of DOS basic file structure (CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT)
        A knowledge of the network driver configuration being used

         skill level

 Getting Started
 ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
        Install Win/TCP Pathways Access
        Copy the enw35.dos file into your C:\LANMAN directory.
        Change to the C:\LANMAN directory, and create a PROTOCOL.INI
         text file with the following statements:

          [ENW35]
            drivername = ENW35$

        Add the following statements to your CONFIG.SYS file:

          device=c:\lanman\enw35.dos

        Add the following statements to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file:

          ndis
          winbind
          wintcp

        Reboot and WinTCP Pathways should be active.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
