This document contains information about  Fast Ethernet Adapter driver for

1. Software Installation
1. Place the file "FastEthMacOS9x.sit" on the desktop.
2. Unstuff the file "FastEhtMacOS9x.sit" using "StuffIt Expander" to "Fast Ethernet
    for Mac OS 9.x" folder	on the desktop.
		  Note: You can get "StuffIt Expander" from http://www.aladdinsys.com/expander
3. Double-click the "Installer" icon in the "Fast Ethernet for Mac OS 9.x" folder. The 
    installer program examines your computer and installs the appropriate driver 
    according to your selection.

2. Setting up the AppleTalk Control Panel
1. Select the "Control Panels" from the Apple Menu.
2. Select "AppleTalk" from the Control Panels submeu. 
3. Click the "Connect via:" dropdown list box to show available communication
		  connections.
4. Select the slot where the adapter is installed.
5. Close the AppleTalk control panel. A dialog box will appear asking whether you 
		  want to save changes. Click the "Save" button.

3. Setting up the TCP/IP
1. Select "Control Panels" from the Apple Menu.
2. Select "TCP/IP" from te Control Panels submenu.
3. Click the "Connect via:" dropdown list box to show available communication 
		  connections.
4. Select the slot where the adapter is installed.
5. Close the TCP/IP control panel. A dialog box will appear asking whether you want
		  to save changes. Click the "Save" button.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
