Configuring many adapters with the same settings v1.00 To use the identical configuration on multiple adapters, save the configuration of one adapter and load the saved configuration file onto another adapter. When you do this, you're only saving or loading the hardware configuration. To complete the installation, you must install the network drivers on each computer. To save the configuration ========================= 1. Insert the Configuration disk into a drive, and switch to that drive. 2. Type EX10SET /SAVE=filename For example, EX10SET /SAVE=A:\EX10CONF.CFG Or you can type EX10SET and select SAVE/LOAD CONFIGURATION TO FILE, then SAVE CONFIGURATION TO FILE. EX10Set asks you to specify where to save the file. Note: If you have a Plug and Play BIOS, the SAVE/LOAD option in EX10Set will be grayed out. You must use the command line option in these cases. To load a saved configuration onto an adapter ============================================= 1. Put the adapter in the computer according the instructions in the Installation Guide. 2. Copy the configuration file you want to use onto the computer or onto a floppy disk. 3. Insert the Configuration disk into a drive, switch to that drive, and type EX10SET /LOAD=filename For example, EX10SET /LOAD=A:\EX10CONF.CFG Or you can type EX10SET and select SAVE/LOAD CONFIGURATION FROM FILE, then LOAD CONFIGURATION FROM FILE. EX10Set asks you to specify the location of the configuration file you want to use. Hints and Tips ============== 1. If you receive a message that EX10Set can't load the configuration onto the adapter you have, you may be trying to load a configuration that was saved for a different type of EtherExpress 10 ISA adapter. To verify your configuration file matches the adapter you're trying to configure, make sure the adapter has the same number of network connectors.Download Driver Pack
