READNT4.TXT Driver File Contents (56cw510.exe)

How can I get my Plug and Play modem to work in NT 4.0?

1. On the Windows NT4 CD-ROM, go to the \drvlib\pnpisa\x86
subdirectory. In that subdirectory, right-click on PNPISA.INF
and choose Install. (if you don't see this file, click
View\Options\View\ and select "Show all Files" and unselect
"Hide extensions for known file types")

2. Reboot when prompted.

3. Log onto your computer with Administrator privileges.

4. Once NT 4.0 restarts, you will see "New Hardware Found"
and then be prompted to install the driver diskette for
your card.

5. After you manually choose the modem (NT 4.0 cannot
automatically tell which modem you have), you must set
the COM port name, Address, and IRQ.

6. Once you have changed the settings, restart to update
the system to complete installing the Plug and Play modem.
